Windows Vista to Windows 7 Pro on boot camp

I have Windows Vista installed on my boot camp partition and I want to upgrade it to Windows 7 Pro. When I went to install it I get the error "Unable to create a required installation folder. Error Code Ox80070005." There is a couple of threads on Microsoft's web site on what to do but, it did not work. I am told that Windows 7 is not compatible with using boot camp. Has anyone else had this problem? Or is there an upgrade for boot camp?
Thanks for the help.
